Adventures in OC

Oh golly, I've gotten far behind on my posting again! Luckily, a trip to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm is the cure for that~

On Thursday, my bestie Poppy and I went to Knott's Halloween Haunt. Sadly, we didn't get a lot of pictures because it was so dark, and I can't do flash photography due to -occasional- seizures. I was able to get two photos of that night, however.

This was my outfit. I bought new clip-in bangs specifically for this night, because I missed having bangs so much. And, yes, I AM wearing a fanny pack.

This was from the end of the night. I had been jonesing for ice cream so we had to get some. Knott's has a little Dryers outside of the park so we stopped inside to get some. We both got single scoops, but for some reason, mine was twice the size of Poppy's! She said, "yours is bigger because you're pretty." Well, I don't know about that, but why on earth would you give a little girl like me an ice cream that big?!

The next day, I went to Disneyland with my friend TK, just like last year. It was so much fun!

It's all decked out for Halloween!

Me and TK waiting in line for the Matterhorn. It's just been redone, but it was like 100 times bumpier than before!

We went on Star Tours, also. I always have to buy nerdy gear from the shop in Tomorrowland. We both bought a bunch of pins, and the cashier asked us if we wanted big pins. Of course we had to say yes! He gave us Honorary Citizen of Disneyland pins, which I was super excited about. He also gave us birthday pins, despite the fact that it was neither of our birthdays. We wore them regardless, and got birthday wishes from everyone in the park.

I've started a bit of a tradition in my photos over the last couple years where I have to be jumping in front of interesting backgrounds. Of course I had to get a jumping photo in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle!

We also got pictures with Tigger and Pooh. I was taking up a bit of time because I couldn't work TK's camera and Tigger was giving me a hard time. But he forgave me and gave me a hug and a pat on the head!

This is probably my favourite picture. Tigger accidentally tripped TK and this photo (that was taken completely by accident) was the result. Priceless.

Pooh was very sweet and gave me a hug. We also had to match our poses.

This is from our picture from Space Mountain. It's all decked out in its "ghost galaxy" phase for Halloween, which I've never been on. Honestly, it kind of freaked me out. I know for a FACT that it would have given me nightmares as a child. The "ghost galaxy" reminded me of a Resident Evil monster that gave me nightmares for years and years. This was my unhappy face.

This one is from Splash Mountain. TK hadn't been on it more than twice, so I had to drag her on.  She wanted to avoid getting wet, so she made me sit in the front. I got absolutely SOAKED. But it was worth it just for this picture.

This one is from the roller coaster in California Adventure. It was my first time going on it and, oh my gosh, I did NOT expect it to go so fast! I might have a new favourite roller coaster. We also went on Tower of Terror at California Adventure, but TK didn't care for that photo.

This was the last one we took for rides, on Buzz's Astro Blaster. I was making a super concentrated face because shooting a ray gun is srs bsns.

I feel like the only time I ever update is when I go to Disneyland! I need to work on that.

My Week

Yikes, it seems like I have this really bad habit of saying I'm going to come back and post, and then disappearing! Bad MZ, bad!

Anywho, I'd like to sum up my week with a wall of text and a few photos~

School: I started a new semester at school on the thirteenth. I go to school from noon until nine thirty on Mondays, so you'd bet I was prepared! Just kidding, I ended up not charging any of my electronic devices with internet access, so when they ended up switching my Bio class's room last minute, I was unable to look it up and ended up being twenty minutes late. My teacher was an absolute sweetheart, though (thankfully!)

Vann's Birthday (Valentine's Day): February 14th is not only Valentine's day, but also my fatcat, Vann's birthday! He is officially seven years old! I typically end up sans Valentine, but that's okay because I feel that my big kitten's birthday is a better reason to celebrate. He got extra treats and extra loves by everyone all day.

Happy Birthday, Fatcat!

Unfortunately, I ended up waking up very sick. But, lucky for me, Panda is the best friend ever and brought me cookies and orange juice in the morning to make me feel all better~

Reading: I've been on a crazy reading streak lately and earlier in the week completed The Hunger Games Trilogy. My mum bought me the first book from Amazon, and after getting halfway through it, I ended up running out to Target to pick up the last two! I loved the first book to death. Unfortunately, I did not feel the same about the other two. I'm still going to go see all of the movies when they come out, hoping that I'll enjoy them better than the books.

New Things: Back in January, I went to one of my favourite places in Orange County, named The Lab. I hadn't been since I moved away, but was pleased to find a new installment: a record store created out of one of those ham can trailers. The boy working was very interesting and knew more about music than I know about Disney! (and that says a lot) It was only after looking around did I see three records that I absolutely could not live without. The original soundtracks to Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Bambi. Even cooler? They unfold into books to read along while the music plays! Needless to say, I needed them. And they look perfect lined beside my Bambi painting~

See what I mean?

I Don't Need To Grow Up

My mum is so awsome. Every year, the school she works for has a book fair to help promote literacy in young children. And every year, my mum buys me a book about Disney Princesses haha. Last year, she bought me the complete Disney Princess Encyclopedia for my birthday. It's so thorough, too. It included Pocahontas and Mulan, who a lot of people don't count as "princesses" although they're in the cannon. It's only missing Rapunzel, but that's because she wasn't a princess yet. And this year, she bought me a book of Disney Princess themed cupcakes and desserts. So she basically bought me a book of my two favourite things. When she was looking at it, the librarian said, "Oh, I have to buy this for my three year old granddaughter!" My mum replied, "I'm getting this for my 21 year old daughter" hahaha!
