Adventures in OC

Oh golly, I've gotten far behind on my posting again! Luckily, a trip to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm is the cure for that~

On Thursday, my bestie Poppy and I went to Knott's Halloween Haunt. Sadly, we didn't get a lot of pictures because it was so dark, and I can't do flash photography due to -occasional- seizures. I was able to get two photos of that night, however.

This was my outfit. I bought new clip-in bangs specifically for this night, because I missed having bangs so much. And, yes, I AM wearing a fanny pack.

This was from the end of the night. I had been jonesing for ice cream so we had to get some. Knott's has a little Dryers outside of the park so we stopped inside to get some. We both got single scoops, but for some reason, mine was twice the size of Poppy's! She said, "yours is bigger because you're pretty." Well, I don't know about that, but why on earth would you give a little girl like me an ice cream that big?!

The next day, I went to Disneyland with my friend TK, just like last year. It was so much fun!

It's all decked out for Halloween!

Me and TK waiting in line for the Matterhorn. It's just been redone, but it was like 100 times bumpier than before!

We went on Star Tours, also. I always have to buy nerdy gear from the shop in Tomorrowland. We both bought a bunch of pins, and the cashier asked us if we wanted big pins. Of course we had to say yes! He gave us Honorary Citizen of Disneyland pins, which I was super excited about. He also gave us birthday pins, despite the fact that it was neither of our birthdays. We wore them regardless, and got birthday wishes from everyone in the park.

I've started a bit of a tradition in my photos over the last couple years where I have to be jumping in front of interesting backgrounds. Of course I had to get a jumping photo in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle!

We also got pictures with Tigger and Pooh. I was taking up a bit of time because I couldn't work TK's camera and Tigger was giving me a hard time. But he forgave me and gave me a hug and a pat on the head!

This is probably my favourite picture. Tigger accidentally tripped TK and this photo (that was taken completely by accident) was the result. Priceless.

Pooh was very sweet and gave me a hug. We also had to match our poses.

This is from our picture from Space Mountain. It's all decked out in its "ghost galaxy" phase for Halloween, which I've never been on. Honestly, it kind of freaked me out. I know for a FACT that it would have given me nightmares as a child. The "ghost galaxy" reminded me of a Resident Evil monster that gave me nightmares for years and years. This was my unhappy face.

This one is from Splash Mountain. TK hadn't been on it more than twice, so I had to drag her on.  She wanted to avoid getting wet, so she made me sit in the front. I got absolutely SOAKED. But it was worth it just for this picture.

This one is from the roller coaster in California Adventure. It was my first time going on it and, oh my gosh, I did NOT expect it to go so fast! I might have a new favourite roller coaster. We also went on Tower of Terror at California Adventure, but TK didn't care for that photo.

This was the last one we took for rides, on Buzz's Astro Blaster. I was making a super concentrated face because shooting a ray gun is srs bsns.

I feel like the only time I ever update is when I go to Disneyland! I need to work on that.

Adventures

My last two weeks have been so much fun! It's been a bit of a blur because so much happened! Luckily, Instagram helps me keep track.

My sister, Poppy, was back from Davis (she just graduated with her B.S!) and so we had to go hang out! We also met our other sister, Ani, and Poppy brought her boyfriend Alex. This is Poppy's sexy face, by the way.

Poppy didn't finish her salad, so Ani and I told her she wasn't allowed to have any cheesecake!

This is my cheesecake (and it was delicious). White chocolate raspberry truffle~

We went back to Poppy's house, and I got to see her cat Joey, whom I haven't seen in almost 5 years. He got so fat!

I also got a lovely pair of Timberland boots in the mail, and was SUPER excited about it.

The next day, I went to the beach, and got sun poisoning :c It was all the way from my thighs down to my ankles, and the burn unfortunately went all the way down to the muscle. Sadly, once it started to heal, one patch became a second degree burn that's still healing now!

Throughout the last two weeks, I've had to take both my dogs to the groomers. It was their first time being professionally groomed, so it was stressful for the poor things. Huckleberry was so scared of everything, but did such a good job! He deserved a special reward for being good.

Wyatt was just as unhappy, but did a really good job. He sat in my lap the whole drive there and smiled at all the people in PetSmart. The groomers all said he was so sweet and they'd love to have him back. I'm so proud of our little boys!

My lovely friend, Lor, has been getting a lot of fan art lately and said how much she loves when people draw her, so I just HAD to jump in on this opportunity. Here is the drawing I did of her (which she LOVED!) It feels so good to draw again, so I definitely have to keep this up.

Then yesterday, I took yet another trip to Disneyland! I went with three friends (who are all siblings) and we had SO much fun! We just went for a short trip (Oh, the benefits of living in Southern California and having season passes) and it was just lovely.

We also headed over to California Adventure where we had to ride the Tower of Terror and take some photos. Our picture for TOT was amazing, but unfortunately I'm a scatterbrain and left it in their car when they dropped me off. We had SO much fun. We're excited to go back for a whole day and see what we can accomplish.

I hope everyone's been having lovely adventures during their summer!

Eff The Ocean, Let's Go To Disneyland!

Yesterday was quite the magical day~

You see, what started off as a trip to the beach ended with a trip to, you guessed it, Disneyland. I picked up Britani around 10:30 and it was so great to see her again! We only get to see each other once a year, so it's always such a treat. It's amazing how, no matter how long we go without seeing each other, when we get back together, we fall right back into sync like we were never separated before.
We got on the freeway and started driving toward the coast, which is roughly a 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive. Around half way there, I was talking about Disneyland when Britani says, "Why are we going to the beach? Eff the beach, let's go to Disneyland!"
We ended up getting to Disneyland around 1 (because we had to stop for In N Out on the way!) and the park was basically empty. She bought her ticket and I had my season pass. When we went up to the counter, it wouldn't read her ticket or my pass, but the lady was kind enough to let us in without any hassle.
We ended up not waiting for any more than 10 minutes for ANY ride. It was a relief to have a Star Wars nerd with me, also, because we got to ride Star Tours a million times. We even made silly jokes, like telling people to "live long and prosper" and see how many people would be visibly upset at us saying lines from Star Trek. At one point on the ride, C3PO had said, "This is madness!" and I yelled out "THIS. IS. STAR WARS!" Sadly, only Britani thought that was funny.
I explained to her that I always want to take pictures with characters and have met almost every princess and most of the characters. The number one on my list was to take a picture with a Storm Trooper. All day, we didn't think too much of it, until we got off of Star Tours for the buhjillionth time. We were on our way to a bathroom when Britani yells "STORRRRRRRRM TROOPERSSSSSSSS!". I turn around and see them, then go running into the line. My Disney Dream had come true!
As we headed into Adventure Land, some people approached us and gave us Fast Passes for the Indiana Jones ride. Indie is one of my top favourite rides in the park. We ran to the ride and the Fast Passes were able to be used right then. Before the ride starts, your guide tells you "And whatever you do, don't look the idol in the eyes!" And as you round the corner, there's the idol. Britani and I yelled "DON'T LOOK INTO ITS EYES!" His eyes glow and he says "LOOK INTO MY EYESSSS". You round another corner and, there's Indie, saying "You had to look in its eyes, didn't you?" and we yelled at him, "WE TOLD EM NOT TO, INDIE, I SWEAR!"
We ended up leaving the park around 6, simply because we had done everything. We took almost no pictures, as you can see, and figured that because the lines were so short, we had no time to take pictures. A curse that often happens to my group at Disneyland.

All in all, a dream trip for me and Britani. I can't wait for us to go to Disneyland again next year when she visits.

Christmas at Disneyland

Yesterday, my friend and I went to Disneyland!

It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing, but that's what I love about living in So-Cal! Being so close to Disneyland is the only way I can imagine living. Plus, I finally gave in and bought a season pass, so now I can go all the time! I even got to go to California Adventure for the first time.

The thing I love the most about Disneyland is their attention to detail. They don't mess around when it comes to decorating and creating the perfect atmosphere. I only snapped a few pictures, and only a couple of myself, but the park is so beautiful.

Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) is my favourite princess, so one of my favourite parts of the park is her castle (Although I'd give an arm and a leg to see Cinderella's castle in Walt Disney World) They cover Aurora's castle in snow during the day around Christmas time. After dark, they even have a special show where they light her castle up in a special way, and then make it snow. If you look closely, you can even see King Arthur's Royal Carousel all lit up through the drawbridge of the castle!
They also cover nearly every square inch of the Small World ride in lights. I thought it was beautiful before but it's absolutely stunning when it's lit up.
Main Street was decked out in lights also. They had a HUGE tree in the middle of it and it changed colours throughout the night. I lucked out this trip, because I finally got my picture with Mickey! Every Disney trip, I try to get a picture with Mickey, and I always come as soon as they don't accept photos anymore. But not this trip.
After I got my picture with Mickey, we headed over to California Adventure, which I had never been to. Our first stop was the Tower of Terror. The wait was an hour long, but the ride was so worth it. I even snapped a quick picture of our photo on the ride. (I'm near the middle to the left~)
When we left the Tower of Terror, we caught the end of the World of Color show. It was so beautiful! I only caught the end, which was a scene from the Lion King and multiple scenes of Disney famous kisses. It was really beautiful.

I bought a couple souvenirs throughout the day, and I got one of my little Christmas gifts from myself in the mail also!
My friend actually got me this little giraffe. I have a big collection of giraffes and am always excited to see ones I don't have because giraffes are a little hard to come by.
On my birthday, I bought myself this Minnie version of this mug. I saw that there was only ONE more in the Main Street shop and had to jump on it! I now have the set for me and Panda to drink out of~
For those who don't know, I'm a -bit- of a Star Wars fan. And by a bit, I mean a big one. Every time I go to Tomorrow Land, I have to hunt through the gift shop to find something absolutely perfect from Star Wars. This trip, I got this awesome Ewok shirt. (And it gave me a bit of a laugh, because TK isn't a Star Wars fan and thought it was Chewbacca, who is my favourite character...next to Boba Fett)
And, lastly, my little gift to myself! I've decided to start a new charm bracelet with Juicy Couture charms, and my first one was a sewing machine. Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to sew. It's probably one of the biggest parts of my life and very important to me. (Plus, it looks like my mom's machine that I someday hope to inherit~)

I hope everyone else is excited for Christmas approaching and had a lovely week!

I Want To Be Forever 21

Yesterday was my twenty first birthday! And for the special occasion, my boyfriend Panda took me to Disneyland! Unfortunately, we didn't take too many pictures. And double unfortunately, a few of our favourite attractions were closed! Because my birthday is the day after Halloween, whenever we go to Disneyland, a few of the attractions are closed in order to take down some of the Halloween decorations, such as Small World and Space Mountain. The Pirates of the Caribbean and the restaurant inside of it, Blue Bayou, were also closed yesterday for refurbishment, and will be closed all Fall season. As disappointing as it was, we still had a fantastic time!

Panda looks so noble

And I look desperate haha!

I got this nifty pin that said it was my birthday, so throughout the entire day walking through the park, people would with me a happy birthday. One of the best parts of the day was when we were walking through Tomorrow Land and we noticed the wait time on the Space Mountain sign was on. Excited, we ran like crazy up to the ride to see that it was open! Their Halloween decorations for that ride mainly consist of projections, so it didn't take as long to take them down as it did for the Small World ride.
One ride we went on several times was Star Tours and it was fantastic! We went on it the first day it reopened back in the summer. Every time we go on, we discuss what planet we hope to visit. In the summer, Panda wanted to visit Hoth and that ended up being the planet we went to! Yesterday, we couldn't determine which planet we wanted to visit and decided to just let it be a surprise. Well, the first planet we went to was the Wookie planet! My favourite! Ever since I was little, Chewbaca has been my favourite character and one of my most beloved movie characters, so going to the Wookie planet was like a dream come true. We were also chased by Boba Fett, which was pretty exciting. The next time we went on, we ended up going to Naboo and through the Death Star. Vader used the force to try to take our ship down, but we got away haha
We also rode the Indiana Jones ride a lot. It's easily one of my favourite rides in the park. The group we went on with was fantastic, too! I love when people get excited about the ride's atmosphere or theme rather than just the thrill. At the beginning of the ride, you get a transmission saying not to look in an idol's eyes, and when you turn a corner, there's the idol telling you to look into its eyes. Well, the boys in our group were all shouting, "DON'T LOOK INTO ITS EYES!" and screaming. It was adorable and made the ride that much more fun.
Hopefully soon I will post a small haul of my birthday goodies!
